SECRETARY – Jane Howlett

Hi, my name is Jane and I’m secretary to Dr.Laura Moss. I have worked as a medical secretary at Velindre Hospital since 1990. I worked with Dr. Moss’ predecessor Dr. Ian Paterson (maybe some of our patients may remember him) and then when he retired Dr. Moss took over. So I have been here for a very long time.
They keep secretaries hidden in the vaults of Velindre and let us out very rarely. However, I do manage to escape occasionally and make a brief appearance in a clinic.
I enjoy personal contact with our patients and have made lots of friends. It will either be myself or Ingrid our Specialist Nurse who will make first contact with a patient. I try to put patients at their ease and encourage them to contact me at ANY time if they have any concerns at all.
