The EU Thyroid Cancer Summit was held in Amsterdam on Friday 28th March. The event was hosted by Genzyme Corporation. Helen Hobrough attended as our representative and as a Director of the Thyroid Cancer Alliance (TCA).

The Hippodrome Music Hall group have agreed to perform a Soiree in aid of funds for our Group.It is an event that is held about six times a year in aid of various charities. We have been very fortunate to have this date for our Group.

Start at 7.00pm in the Green Room at Velindre Hospital, Whitchurch, Cardiff.

10th Anniversary tea party to be held at the Village hotel. Please contact us if you wish to attend as places are limited.

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust are hosting a conference on Thyroid Cancer. A total of 15 papers will be presented at the conference by eminent medical professionals in the field of thyroid cancer.

The annual Summer Party will be held at the usual venue of the Sea Shore Grill and Function rooms at Sully. Get your tickets early as they sell like hot cakes. The tickets cost just £12.50 a head. We have held the price for 4 years. An excellent night out with a super buffet!

We will have a stand showcasing the work of the group at this event.

The Vale Show wil be held at Fonmon Castle. We have applied to put up a stand at the Show.  We will also have a slot on Bro Radio to promote the Group.

Representatives of the TCA  member organisations from around the world, along with the TCA's outstanding M.A.P. met in Paris for the first patient - led workshop on tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). TCSGW were represented by Helen Hobrough at this workshop and Dr Laura Moss was one of the presenting medical experts. TCA held their AGM in Paris on Wednesday, 22nd of October.
